We are the Wheeling Nailers Booster Club. We are the fans that support our Wheeling Nailers as well as our affiliates, the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Wilkes Barre Baby Pens. Our priority, though, is our Nailers. We provide them with the things they need to feel at home in our area such as bedding, dishes, small appliances, and all the little things that make their apartments their home. In the past, we have also provided them with such things as their warm-up suits for their road games, glove dryers, skate sharpeners, and food and Gatorade for those long rides to and from their away games. The most important thing we offer them, though, is friendship. We are there to support them at all the home games as well as on the road as much as possible, and we are there to give them a helping hand if and when they need it. Is it a lot of work? Of course it is, but we still have time for fun! The Boosters sponsor three main parties during the year which allows the team to relax, socialize, and have a good meal with us. We have our annual Welcome Back Get-together, as well as a Christmas Party and our Awards Banquet where the club votes on such things as MVP of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and Player with the Most Heart. We also have our annual Steak Fry in the summer which gives us all a chance to get together as well as raise some of the money that funds all our projects. We have a good time doing the things we do for the team, and we hope you will decide this is something you want to be involved in with us!
